All-day Communication and Attitude Workshop for Stroke Survivors with Aphasia, Family and Professionals Presented by Stroke Survivor Paul Berger and his wife Stephanie Mensh
This all-day workshop promotes living well with stroke and aphasia through improved communication and positive attitudes. Designed for stroke survivors with aphasia, family, and professionals, this workshop features presentations by both of us, tailored to your community, with hands-on small group activities accessible to all levels. We provide background materials and worksheets in easy-to-duplicate formats. Continuing education units (CEU) drafts are available.
“Thank YOU for your wonderful workshop! I feel you planted a seed with all three of the groups. Several of the professionals had "aha" moments about living with aphasia for life. The professionals gained as much from the conference as the people with aphasia and their families. You wouldn't believe how many people signed up for starting an aphasia network, fundraising, and research. I'm sure this was due to your inspiring presentations.” --Fran Tucker, PhD, SLP-CCC, St. Louis
“Paul's research on upcoming events in St. Louis was phenomenal.” --Stephanie Berry, St. Louis
“My favorite part was the fact that he could talk so I could understand.” --Stroke survivor, St. Louis
“Excellent. You both exceeded my expectations for the program today. As a speech therapist, I appreciated hearing what helped Paul begin to speak, read, and write again in order to give me ideas in treating people I work with.” -- Laura Heppe, St. Charles, MO
